Indian Wedding Photographer Italy
An Indian wedding photographer in Italy needs to do two things at the same time: understand the visual complexity of multi-day South Asian ceremonies and know how to work with Italian light, architecture, and venues that were never designed for a Baraat. Sebastian Nandryka and the SuperWeddings team have photographed Indian, Hindu, and Sikh weddings across Italy since 2015 — in Sicily, Puglia, Umbria, Tuscany, Lake Como, and the Amalfi Coast. We cover the full celebration: Mehndi, Sangeet, ceremony, and reception, with a team that travels from our Barcelona base across Italy and Europe.

Why couples choose SuperWeddings for Indian weddings in Italy
Most photographers in Italy are exceptional at Italian weddings. Far fewer have real depth in Indian ceremony structure. Sebastian has photographed over 200 Indian weddings across Europe — including Hindu pheras, Sikh Anand Karaj, Mehndi nights, Baraat processions, and multi-faith fusion celebrations. That means he arrives knowing what to anticipate at each ritual, not learning it on your day. Our work has been featured in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and Sebastian serves on the WeddingSutra Photography Awards jury — the reason couples from Dubai, London, New York, Mumbai, and Zurich trust us with their Italian celebrations.

Italian venues we photograph Indian weddings at
Italy’s best Indian wedding venues share two qualities: they are cinematic, and they can handle scale. A three-day celebration with 200 guests needs space for a Mandap, a dance floor, a dining setup, and a Baraat arrival route. We have worked at venues that deliver all of it:
- Sicily — Castello Lanza Branciforte di Trabia: baroque architecture, ocean light, space for large multi-day celebrations.
- Puglia — Borgo Egnazia: whitewashed masseria, trulli clusters, olive groves. Extraordinary golden hour light.
- Lake Como — Villa Balbiano: lakeside grandeur, formal gardens, interiors that handle the drama of a full Sikh ceremony.
- Umbria — Countryside estates near Perugia and Orvieto: intimacy and rolling hills. We photographed Carol and Karan’s three-day Indian wedding here.
- Tuscany — Villas and agriturismo estates between Florence and Siena. The combination of vineyard light and stone architecture makes for some of the most photographed Indian weddings in Europe.
- Amalfi Coast — For couples who want the Mediterranean as a backdrop to their pheras.
What we document at Indian weddings in Italy
- Mehndi and Haldi — intimate, colour-saturated, candid-first coverage.
- Sangeet night — high energy, often low light. We use cinema-grade equipment for the contrast between stage lighting and dance floors.
- Baraat arrival — multiple photographers to cover the groom’s procession, dhol drummers, and family reception simultaneously.
- Ceremony — Hindu pheras, Sikh Anand Karaj, or fusion. We know the ritual sequence and position ourselves correctly without disrupting the pandit or granthi.
- Reception and party — speeches, first dances, family portraits, and the full energy of a multi-day celebration reaching its peak.

Case study: Indian wedding in Sicily
A three-day Hindu celebration at Castello Lanza Branciforte di Trabia — baroque architecture, ocean light, and a full Sangeet and phera ceremony across successive evenings. The scale of the venue gave the Baraat arrival the space it deserved.

Case study: 3-day Indian wedding in Umbria
Carol and Karan chose a countryside estate in Umbria for their three-day celebration — a Mehndi evening, a Sangeet night, and a full Hindu ceremony the following morning. The Umbrian hills and estate stone architecture gave each event a completely different visual character.

How we work at Indian weddings in Italy
Before every Indian wedding in Italy we schedule a pre-event call to go through the full event schedule, flag any rituals requiring specific camera positioning, discuss the venue layout, and agree on a shot list with the family. A Baraat in a cobblestone Italian village has different logistics to one at a purpose-built resort — knowing this in advance is what separates a photographer who delivers from one who misses the moment.
We coordinate directly with your wedding planner and vendor team. Post-production turnaround for Indian weddings is typically 6 to 10 weeks for the full gallery, with a preview selection delivered within 72 hours.
We also cover Indian weddings across the rest of Europe. See our Indian wedding photographer Spain, Indian wedding photographer Barcelona, and Hindu wedding photographer Spain pages for work closer to our base. Browse our destination wedding films for video examples across Italy and beyond.

How much does an Indian wedding photographer cost in Italy?
Indian wedding photography in Italy with SuperWeddings starts from €5,900 for a two-day Essential package. The Signature Collection for a traditional two-day Hindu or Sikh wedding starts from €6,900 with two photographers, a videographer, and drone footage. Multi-day packages covering three to four full days start from €7,900. Combined photo and video packages for Indian weddings typically range from €9,000 to €12,000 depending on the number of days and team size.
Do you photograph full multi-day Indian weddings in Italy?
Yes. Multi-day Indian weddings are our most common brief in Italy. We cover every event in sequence — Mehndi, Haldi, Sangeet, Baraat arrival, ceremony, and reception — across two to four days. Each event receives the same level of attention and a separate editing pass. The package price includes the full celebration with no per-event surcharges.
Do you have experience with Hindu, Sikh, and Muslim Indian weddings in Italy?
Yes. We have photographed Hindu phera ceremonies, Sikh Anand Karaj, Muslim Nikahs, and multi-faith fusion weddings across Italy and Europe. Sebastian reviews the ritual sequence before every event and coordinates with the officiating pandit or granthi to ensure correct camera positioning during sacred moments without disruption.
Which regions of Italy do you travel to for Indian weddings?
We travel to any Italian region. Our most frequent Indian wedding locations are Sicily, Puglia, Umbria, Tuscany, Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast, and Rome. Travel is factored into our package pricing for most Italian destinations. For remote locations or multi-venue events, we include a clear travel cost breakdown in your quote.
How far in advance should we book an Indian wedding photographer in Italy?
We recommend booking at least 12 months in advance for Italian Indian weddings, particularly for May to October dates. High-season venues and popular months fill 18 months ahead for experienced multicultural photographers. We are currently accepting bookings for 2026 and 2027. Contact us if your date is sooner — we occasionally have late availability.
Can you provide both photography and videography for our Indian wedding in Italy?
Yes. SuperWeddings provides photography and videography under one creative direction — a single coordinated team rather than two separate vendors. Combined photo and video is the most common choice for Indian weddings in Italy, removing coordination overhead and ensuring a consistent visual style. See our Indian wedding videographer page for film examples.
