When i shot my first hindu wedding back in 2016 i instantly knew i would like to become an Indian wedding photographer in Barcelona.
There is something profoundly moving about an Indian wedding.
The rhythm of the baraat, the quiet intensity of the pheras, the laughter during mehendi, the emotion carried across generations — it’s not just a celebration, it’s a living story unfolding over days.
As an Indian wedding photographer in Barcelona, I’ve had the privilege of documenting over 200 Indian weddings, and more than 400 weddings worldwide alongside my team. Each one different. Each one deeply personal.
I’m Sebastian Nandryka, founder of SuperWeddings — a destination wedding photography and videography studio based in Barcelona. Together with my team, we specialise in capturing multi-day celebrations where culture, family, and emotion take centre stage.
What makes Indian weddings unique isn’t just their scale — it’s their meaning. And that’s why experience matters.
Because photographing an Indian wedding is not about being present.
It’s about understanding what matters — before it even happens.

Choosing the right photographer and videographer for an Indian wedding in Barcelona goes far beyond style.
It’s about trust, awareness, and the ability to move naturally through complex, multi-day celebrations without ever missing what matters.
Here’s what sets us apart:

From baraat to pheras, mehendi to haldi, and high-energy sangeet nights — we don’t just capture these moments, we anticipate them. We know when to step in, and when to disappear. - Experience across cultures and religions
We’ve worked with Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Muslim and Persian weddings, each with its own pace, rituals, and sensitivities. This allows us to move respectfully and confidently across traditions. - Photography + Videography together
Unlike many studios, we offer both photography and cinematic videography as one cohesive team. For dedicated video coverage across all of Spain, see our Indian wedding videographer Spain guide — ensuring consistency in storytelling, style, and coordination. - 400+ weddings, 200+ Indian weddings

Our work has been internationally recognised, not just for aesthetics — but for storytelling. - Multicultural destination expertise
Many of our couples bring together families from different parts of the world. We understand how to navigate languages, expectations, and emotional dynamics. - Logistics & vendor coordination
From venues like Castell de Sant Marçal or Finca Mas Solers to Indian wedding planners in Spain and local teams — we integrate seamlessly. - We don’t just document — we understand
Every ritual has meaning. Every gesture matters.
That’s the difference between photos… and storytelling.

What we capture on Indian weddings
Indian weddings are not a single day — they are a journey.
And we approach them as such.
Pre-Wedding & Engagement
Barcelona offers an incredible backdrop for pre-wedding sessions.
From the architecture of the Gothic Quarter to the soft Mediterranean light — we create editorial-style engagement shoots that feel natural, relaxed, and timeless.
These sessions are also an opportunity for us to connect before the wedding — so when the big days arrive, everything flows effortlessly.

Mehendi, Haldi & Sangeet
These are often the most vibrant and emotional parts of the celebration.
- The intimacy of mehendi
- The playful chaos of haldi
- The energy and choreography of the sangeet
We focus on the details — hands, colours, textures — but also on the interactions that bring these events to life.
This is where stories begin.
Wedding day coverage
From the early morning preparations to the final dance floor moments, we follow the entire flow:
- Groom preparations
- The baraat procession
- Bride entrance
- The pheras
- Family portraits
- Reception & speeches
- Party and celebration
We work quietly, efficiently, and always with awareness of what’s about to happen next.
Cinematic wedding films
Our Barcelona wedding videography services are not just recordings — they are crafted stories.
- 10–15 minute cinematic edits
- Emotional storytelling with music and sound design
- Full ceremony coverage
- Same-day edits (optional)
The goal is simple:
To create something you will want to watch — not just once, but for years.
Our approach: Docummentary + Artisty
We believe the best wedding photography sits somewhere between observation and intention.
Too much direction, and the moment feels staged.
Too little, and something essential can be missed.
So we work in between.
We move quietly — capturing real interactions, real emotions, real energy.
But when needed, we guide — gently shaping light, composition, and presence.
For Indian weddings, this balance is essential.
Because rituals deserve respect.
And emotions deserve space.
Our role is to be invisible when needed, present when it matters — always aware, always ready.

Caste Study of Indian wedding photography in Barcelona
Roshan & Zubin — Barcelona
At Castell de Sant Marçal, Roshan and Zubin brought together families from Mumbai and California for a two-day Indian wedding in Barcelona celebration.
The event included a vibrant baraat, traditional pheras, and a high-energy reception. We delivered over 1,800 images and a 15-minute wedding film.
Coordinating across 7 vendors and multiple languages, the focus remained on capturing the authenticity of each moment — especially the way Christian and Indian traditions blended beautifully throughout the celebration.
How Much Does an Indian Wedding Photographer Cost in Barcelona?
Indian wedding photography in Barcelona typically starts from €3,500 for single-day coverage and rises to €6,900+ for multi-day celebrations (Mehndi through reception). Combined photo and video packages for full Indian weddings start from €5,900. Pricing reflects the scale of the celebration — a three-day Indian wedding requires a significantly different level of team, preparation and editing than a single-day event.
At SuperWeddings, our packages are built around your specific events rather than a fixed template. The right starting point is a conversation about your timeline, traditions and guest count — not a price list. Get in touch and we’ll put together an accurate quote for your celebration.
What Should You Look for in an Indian Wedding Photographer in Barcelona?
Experience with Indian weddings specifically — not just weddings in general. Photographing a Baraat is completely different from photographing a church ceremony. The positions, the timing, the unpredictability — none of it translates from standard wedding experience. Ask how many multi-day Indian weddings they’ve covered and which traditions they’ve worked with.
A team, not a solo operator. A multi-day Indian wedding in Barcelona requires at least two photographers across most events, and three during the ceremony. A single photographer will always miss critical moments — not through lack of skill, but through geometry.
Photo and video from the same team. Coordination between two separate crews during the pheras or the Baraat creates conflicts. A unified team eliminates all of that and keeps the visual language consistent across both.
Someone who understands the culture, not just the camera. The best Indian wedding photographers anticipate what’s coming before it happens — because they’ve been in that room before. Cultural fluency isn’t optional.
Indian wedding photographer Barcelona – FAQ
Do you have experience with Hindu, Sikh, Christian, and Muslim Indian weddings?
Yes — we’ve worked across all major Indian wedding traditions, including Hindu, Sikh, Muslim (Nikah), Christian, and multicultural celebrations. Each requires a different approach, and we’re fully familiar with their structure and meaning.
What happens if the wedding runs late?
Indian weddings almost always do — and we plan for it. We stay flexible and adapt in real time, ensuring nothing important is missed.
Can we do a pre-wedding shoot in India?

Of course. Our style is natural and timeless, but we can adapt tone (warm, vibrant, cinematic) to your preferences.

Ideally 9–12 months in advance, especially for peak season Indian weddings.
