If you’ve ever dreamed of celebrating your Indian wedding in Umbria in the heart of Italy, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and timeless charm, than you arrived in the best place to find inspiration.
For Carol and Karan, this breathtaking region became the perfect setting for their three-day Indian wedding celebration at the beautiful Castello Rosciano.

As a wedding videography and photography team, we’ve had the honor of documenting many destination weddings across Italy, but this one felt truly special — a celebration that beautifully blended cultures, faiths, and emotions, all within the ancient walls of a medieval castle.
Indian Wedding Umbria – A Three-Day Celebration of Love and Culture
Carol and Karan’s wedding was not just a union of two souls, but also a celebration of two traditions — a Catholic ceremony followed by a Hindu ceremony, spread over three unforgettable days in Umbria.
Day 1 – Mehndi & Welcome Dinner
The festivities began with a relaxed Mehndi afternoon at the castle’s terrace. Friends and family gathered as intricate henna designs came to life, while soft music, laughter, and Italian summer light filled the air. The evening continued with a welcome dinner, where guests were treated to Italian flavors with subtle Indian touches — a perfect introduction to the weekend ahead.
Day 2 – Sangeet & Baraat
The energy shifted into full celebration mode for the Sangeet night. The couple’s families performed dances under twinkling lights, and the air was filled with joy and anticipation. The next morning, Karan’s Baraat arrived in true Indian style — drums, music, and colorful energy echoing through the castle’s stone courtyard.
Day 3 – Two Ceremonies, One Love Story
This was the day everyone had been waiting for.
Carol and Karan exchanged vows first in a Catholic ceremony, surrounded by the serene beauty of Umbria’s hills. Later in the day, they honored Karan’s heritage with a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony, set in the castle gardens — vivid colors, sacred rituals, and a golden glow from the setting sun.
It was a perfect balance — two faiths, one heart.

Indian Wedding Umbria – The venue of Castello Rosciano
If there’s one venue in Umbria that seems designed for Indian weddings Umbria, it’s Castello Rosciano. Perched high above the valley with panoramic views of olive groves and vineyards, this historic castle provides an elegant yet authentic Italian backdrop.
Its spacious courtyards and gardens made it ideal for hosting multiple events — from the Mehndi to the Sangeet, the Catholic ceremony, and the Hindu rituals. The team at the venue was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every detail — from décor to logistics — worked seamlessly across the three days.

Photography & Videography Highlights
From the soft morning light during the Catholic ceremony to the burst of colors during the Hindu rituals, every moment felt cinematic. What stood out most was how seamlessly the two traditions intertwined — Italian romance meeting Indian vibrance in Umbria.
