Ibiza Wedding Venues – Frequent Questions
After so many years of shooting amazing wedding videography and Ibiza wedding photography and travelling the globe for our mind blowing destination weddings we understood that there are some questions that come up no matter where you decide to get married if it’s in Ibiza, or any other place in the World – sometimes you simply need a little help.
When we talk with couples over coffee or a whatsapp call we offer a helping hand (or two) and simply tell everything that we know about the best Ibiza wedding venues, and answer all your questions – below we present the most frequent ones:
How much does it cost to get married in Ibiza?
As Ibiza is a highly-demanded destination, weddings on the island are not the cheapest. However, it’s not like it will cost you a kidney or a lun. It truly depends on the type of ceremony you want to host. Ibiza beaches are suitable for intimate, sandy barefooted weddings that can come up to a EUR 15,000 budget, and its most luxurious weddings can have a budget of EUR 50,000 or more. But let us share with you an average breakdown of the main costs here:
For a 3-course meal, the average price will start from EUR 50 up to EUR 200 per head, and you may be charged extra for canapés, which is a classics appetizer.
Villas can go from EUR 2,000 to EUR 50,000 per wedding depending on the luxury, location, and time of the year.
Photography and Videography
The prices for wedding videography and wedding photography in Ibiza vary from wedding to wedding, and definitely from as many photography businesses as you can find. In my perspective, all that makes the biggest difference is the sense of style and creativity-that the person you are booking represents the visual and personal taste you love so much. Every video and photography company for wedding destinations has a package list. Our packages start as low as EUR 2,950, but please feel free to contact us to get our full price list of packages.
Florist and decoration
Some venue will have their personal planner who can bring in a lot of other add-ons. For this, the location will usually charge more or offer a package price. You can use this platform, whatever you want, to find out how much some of the wedding services would cost. However, the average costs are about EUR 3,000.
In Ibiza, a wedding DJ with a sound system will set you back between EUR 700 and EUR 1,500. You are certainly at the higher end of the price spectrum if you want a nicely lit dancefloor area too. As well, a band of 3 or 4 members, including their technical equipment, can also be employed, which will cost you EUR 2,000-8,000 in Ibiza. It will cost you an estimated 300-400 euros to have a live orchestra or a soloist during the reception.
Where can I get married in Ibiza?
The Balearic island is home to an authentic and stylish list of top places to celebrate your wedding/elopement. Choosing the venue for your special day solely depends on the budget, guest list, and needs you and your partner have. From small, rural, and intimate locations to large, extravagant beachfront venues, you will be able to find the perfect spot for you here. The best thing is, you can have a perfect view of the Mediterranean in almost every setting, so you’ll always have that sparkling blue in your memories. I’ll also help you with the above list that holds a smaller array with all the places that, in my long experience, are the BEST Ibiza wedding venues.
Can I get legally married in Ibiza? How long do you have to be in Ibiza before getting married?
Marriage legal requirements in Spain are pretty similar in all its regions:
- Residents: If either one of you is a resident for at least 2 years or profess the Catholic faith, you can legally get married in Ibiza. Residents can legally marry in a civil ceremony and those of the Catholic faith can legally marry in a Catholic Church.
- Foreigners: If you wish to be married in Spain and neither you nor your partner are Spanish nationals, you must submit many legal documents and be aware that the Apostille of The Hague or the Diplomatic Delegation of Spain and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country must legalize non-multilingual documents in advance. Also, a translator recognized by the Ministry will translate the documents into Spanish. But you know what? Most of our couples organize a civil marriage in their home country and then travel to host an amazing symbolic wedding in Ibiza. Read more here on how to elope in Spain.
If I’m a UK resident, can I legally get married in Ibiza?
UK citizens must both prove that they have property in Spain or that they profess the Catholic faith to legally marry in Spain. If not, in Gibraltar or the UK, the UK couple must have a civil wedding and then try it in Spain with a marriage blessing. Then, in one of the incredible wedding locations mentioned above, they can celebrate a fun, adventurous, and romantic wedding destination in Spain.

Destination Wedding in Ibiza – How to plan it?
If you made it this far than we already know that you dream of organizing your destination wedding in Ibiza. It’s a great adventure and a fantastic experience to party on your wedding in Ibiza – trust me you will never forget it. However, it is understandable that fear and panic accompany the organization itself. But what are helpers like us for? We have created a guide to help you plan your dream destination wedding in Ibiza! With us, you will see what planning a wedding in Ibiza looks like.
- First and foremost: Start planning early: Destination weddings in Ibiza take more planning than local weddings in your country, so it’s important to start as early as possible. This will give you enough time to research venues, vendors, and legal requirements. Remember those beautiful wedding locations are very sought after among young couples. Just like catering services, wedding planners, or even a photographer. To have everything buttoned up, it’s worth starting planning your destination wedding in Ibiza ahead – nothing will surprise you then and you won’t have to decide on the only services that will remain free on the date you choose.
- Choose your destination Ibiza wedding date carefully: Weather, peak tourist season, and local events can all affect your Ibiza wedding plans. Each of these elements is extremely important. You also need to pay attention to the date that suits the guests you invited – we mean the closest family and friends. It is worth taking into account their commitments or professional plans. You should consider the climate and what kind of wedding you want to have when choosing your wedding date. It is known – if you are thinking about an outdoor wedding, you should take into account the standard weather forecasts for a given region.
- Research venues and vendors: Research different ibiza wedding venues and vendors to find the perfect match for your wedding style and budget. Make sure to read reviews and ask for references. Local wedding planners and owners of places where you can organize a wedding together with a wedding reception are happy to advise you on the selection of additional services. We also have knowledge that can help us choose.
- Book the best Ibiza Wedding Photographer and Videographer. A family heirloom from the wedding in the form of photos and videos will please hearts for many years. It’s good to come back to such memories together with the other half or loved ones. You will also be able to show such reports to your children and grandchildren. We guarantee – more than one tear will be shed!
- Get familiar with the legal requirements: Make sure to research and understand the legal requirements for getting married in Ibiza. This can include obtaining marriage licenses, paperwork, and translations. Tutaj też warto skorzystać z doradztwa wedding plannera lub prawnika, który orientuje się w prawie hiszpańskim.
- Consider hiring an Ibiza wedding planner: A wedding planner in Ibiza can help you navigate the legal requirements and can also provide invaluable advice on venues, vendors, and local customs. Such help is extremely important and minimizes the stress associated with the organization of the wedding. Write to us – we will help you find the right person for this position!
- Plan for your guests: Destination weddings in Ibiza can be expensive for guests, so make sure to provide them with information on affordable accommodation options and activities to do on the island. This is quite a controversial issue that should be agreed upon at the very beginning. Prices are constantly rising, and it is known that everyone would like to experience the wedding day with their loved ones. In this way, you will also be able to agree on a likely guest list.
- Make sure to get travel insurance: Travel insurance can protect you and your guests in case of any unexpected events, such as flight cancellations or medical emergencies. In the rush of matters related to the organization of the wedding, such an important issue may simply slip out of your mind. That’s why we remind you about it in our guide – it’s better to protect yourself and your guests from various accidents to avoid real drama.
- Be flexible: Be prepared for unexpected changes and be flexible with your plans. Sometimes things may not go as planned, but with the right attitude and support, you can make the most of it. Remember – you can easily change the organization plan. Everyone will think it was meant to be!
- Keep communication open: Keep open communication with your guests and vendors to ensure that everyone is on the same page and to address any concerns. Remember that these people make your special day. Speak openly, suggest changes, but also listen to the advice of others.
- Enjoy the process: Planning a destination wedding in Ibiza can be a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. Remember to take a step back and enjoy the planning process, and don’t forget to take some time to explore the island and make some great memories before your big day. You’re probably wondering: Should I work with a wedding planner? This is an increasingly used service by young couples. Thanks to this, you do not have everything on your head and rely on specialists in the industry, who already have dozens of well-organized weddings on their account. Certainly abroad it is an extremely useful thing. Wedding planners know the local culture, and language and know exactly what to look for and who to contact. It will be extremely helpful. You can count on us here too! We will help you find the right person and we will do everything to help.
