Elopement in Certaldo
What an amazing wedding this has been! Bianca and Aaron came all the way from eastern Australia to Florence and Certaldo in Italy to celebrate their love with family and friends under the Tuscan sun. Do you know what was also super unique about that wedding for me? I was both their wedding photographer and videographer! You don’t believe it? Well, check for yourself by scrolling down this blog post!
For me it’s about building a special bond with my couples, to become friends, go on an adventure and simply have a great time together – then photos and film just flow organically without me or you really thinking about it. And the outcome? Could not get any better! One of the best experiences of the past wedding season for me for sure.
It was the first time for me to visit Certaldo in Tuscany, and traveling on train Ponte Vecchio. I already knew it will be simply great – with all the beautiful Italian landscapes, people and colors that I was passing on the way. I think I was listening to Kraak & Smaak from my playlist that you can listen to here – to get me into a creative mood when I arrived in Certaldo.
The train from Florence goes for something like an hour so you can enjoy all of the playlist if you decide to go and listen to it. But coming back to the wedding – it was a small elopement for about 30 people that came from different parts of the World, Europe, South Africa, and Australia.
Bianca and Aaron were just so super cute and had so much good energy with them that we decided to hop on a train back from Certaldo to Florence to Piazzale Michelangelo and the Boboli Gardens and of course the Ponte Vecchio bridge!
Would like to go on an adventure like this with me? Well, there is only one way to start it!
Loved it! The bride is wearing my favourite wedding dress ever!
