Can I get legally married in Ibiza? How long do you have to be in Ibiza before getting married?

Marriage legal requirements in Spain are pretty similar in all its regions:

• Residents: If either one of you is a resident for at least 2 years or profess the Catholic faith, you can legally get married in Ibiza. Residents can legally marry in a civil ceremony and those of the Catholic faith can legally marry in a Catholic Church.
• Foreigners: If you wish to be married in Spain and neither you nor your partner are Spanish nationals, you must submit many legal documents and be aware that the Apostille of The Hague or the Diplomatic Delegation of Spain and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country must legalize non-multilingual documents in advance. Also, a translator recognized by the Ministry will translate the documents into Spanish. But you know what? If I’m a UK resident, can I legally get married in Ibiza?

UK citizens must both prove that they have property in Spain or that they profess the Catholic faith to legally marry in Spain. If not, in Gibraltar or the UK, the UK couple must have a civil wedding and then try it in Spain with a marriage blessing.
